Topman Design SS13

although the floral-print menswear has been done before, i think neon florals are actually a pretty inspired thing. it’s a take no prisoners trend, but it’s not the kind of overly bold thing that makes you roll your eyes at old designers just trying to be edgy. putting aside the print, i like the collared-shirt / rolled-sleeve tee combination that jester baby is wearing because it’s a very cool approach to new layering. the mesh shorts i’m eh about but somehow i don’t hate the jackets? i think the two-tone does a lot for it, gives the boys more shape, though i think it could have been more fitted.

Sophie does the hard work, I like that!
(I’m not sure I could deal with this if the collection was associated with a proper designer name, but for Topman, it’s alright I guess. I do realise how shallow and unprofessional this comment is. Oh well.)
